Colorful Paper Sunflower Craft That’s Great for Classrooms

This paper sunflower craft is fun, easy, and kid-friendly! A cheerful project that’s perfect for classrooms, summer camp, or a sunny day activity.

If there’s one flower that screams summer, it’s the sunflower. Big, bold, and bright yellow—they’re basically sunshine in plant form.
And since not all of us have fields of them growing nearby (wouldn’t that be dreamy?), I figured why not make our own? This paper sunflower craft is fun, simple, and perfect for kids of all ages.
You’re going to use good ol’ construction paper to build the flower, add some sunflower seeds for texture, and give the whole thing a little 3-D life by folding the petals.

There’s no fancy cutting or measuring involved—just basic shapes and glue sticks. Which means yes, even your preschooler can get in on this one (with some scissor help, of course).
These would be adorable for summer decor, classroom crafts, or just as a quick boredom buster when it’s too hot to be outside.
If your kids love crafting as much as mine do, you probably already have everything you need on hand. Let’s make some sunny magic!
