How To Do An I Spy Activity
This fun activity is super quick to prep and really easy for kids to do. Obviously you’re going to need to print it first and normal white printer paper is absolutely fine for this.
Next up grab your coloring pencils, colored markers or crayons and choose which item you’ll be counting first, for example the flowers.
Color in each of those items and then count up how many there were before writing the answer in the corresponding box at the bottom of the page.
Keep going with each of our nature themed items until you’ve colored and counted everything, don’t forget to check your answers against our answer sheet.
More Nature Activities For Kids
Our outdoor scavenger hunt is perfect for using in your backyard and you can color each item as you find it. You can use it as a game and have your kids race to see who can find all of the items first or use it as I did with my kids as a collaborative project where they look together.

This nature craft for kids was inspired by my daughter wanting to pick all of the leaves in our garden and uses one of our free templates to make it into an easy tree craft.
One of the things that I really like about this activity is that it’s totally adaptable for each season and I think a fall themed version of this with red and orange leaves would be really fun too.

These frozen flowers were also a big hit with my kids and while obviously they require a tiny bit of preparation it’s a great one to have ready sat in your freezer for when someone says that they’re bored!
