DIY junk journal sticker sheets using round labels

Here is how to DIY junk journal sticker sheets! This project is as fun as actually working on your junk journal because we’re using something new – round labels!

One of my favorite ways to add personality to my junk journals is by making my own stickers. Instead of buying a new pack every time, I grab a sheet of plain round mailing labels and turn them into a sheet of artsy, colorful embellishments using markers, stamps, glitter pens, and anything else within reach.

The best part? You can decorate a whole sheet at once, peel them off as needed, and even cut the sheet into strips to share with friends. It’s a fun, affordable, and relaxing project that turns ordinary labels into little circles of joy.

How to make your own junk journal sticker sheets

Supplies:

  • A sheet of round white labels

  • Markers (water-based or alcohol inks)

  • Stamps + ink pads

  • Glitter pens or metallic gel pens

  • Paint pens or colored pencils

  • Anything else you can add that won’t prevent lifting sticker off the sheet

Steps:

Lay out your sheet – Keep the backing sheet intact so you can work on all your stickers at once. Place it on a piece of scrap paper to catch any ink or paint that goes off the edges.

Start layering color – Use markers to fill in bold colors, doodles, or abstract shapes. Don’t worry about being perfect—the messy layered look is what makes these so unique.

Stamp it up – Add patterns or little icons using your favorite rubber stamps. You can stamp directly on the labels or layer ink over your doodles for extra depth.

Add sparkle + texture – This is where glitter pens, metallic markers, and gel pens come in. Outline shapes, draw little stars, or add polka dots. That shimmer will make your stickers pop on the page.

Let dry and peel – Once everything is dry, you can start peeling off your handmade stickers and adding them to your junk journals, planners, or pen pal letters.
