DIY Lucky Pennant Flag for National Craft Month

Hello friends! I’m Sara Hynes, and today I’m going to show you how to create a fun, colorful DIY Lucky pennant flag to celebrate National Craft Month. This project is perfect for crafting with your little ones or adding a special touch to a March-themed gift. Let’s dive in!

Step 1: Color Your Ribbon
Start by coloring your ribbon. You can use a festive St. Patrick’s Day ribbon, or, like I did, create a unique design with the Tropical Dual Brush Pen 10-Pack. I colored my ribbon in a rainbow pattern, but feel free to get creative!

Step 2: Draw and Color Your Flag
Using your MONO Graph Mechanical Pencil and a straight edge (you can use anything you have handy), draw a large triangle shape for your flag. Before cutting it out, color it in with your favorite Dual Brush Pens. I used Dual Brush Pen 133 for the base color and added details with Pens 245 and 173, including some cute shamrocks and lettering.

Step 3: Cut Out Your Flag
Once your flag is decorated, carefully cut it out.

Step 4: Create the Back of Your Flag
Repeat Step 2 to create a second flag for the back. For stability, you can make the back look similar to the front or try a different design, like a rainbow stripe pattern (which is what I did!).

Step 5: Assemble the Flag
Now that you have both sides of your flag, use MONO Extreme Adhesive to glue them together. Be sure to sandwich a skewer or stick between the two layers along the long edge of the flag to give it structure.

Step 6: Add the Ribbon Bow
Once everything is glued and secure, tie a ribbon bow at the base where the flag meets the skewer. I used a small dab of adhesive to keep the bow in place.
