Instructions
- Start by cutting a large circle from yellow paper and fold it in half. This will be the base of your rocking sun.

- Print and cut the craft template (if using one), then trace each piece onto the correct color of construction paper. You’ll need yellow rays for the sun, black sunglasses, blue and white pieces for the ocean, and extra shapes for beach details like an umbrella and towel.

- Now the fun part — assemble all the pieces onto the folded circle. The top half will become your sun with sunglasses and a smile, while the bottom half turns into a cute beach scene.

Once everything is glued down and dry, stand your sun craft up and gently tap the side to watch it rock!
The rocking sun is a perfect way to celebrate warm weather, boost creativity, and introduce children to summer themes through hands-on fun.
As kids cut and glue the shapes, they’re also practicing their fine motor skills and following simple instructions, making it ideal for preschool and early elementary ages.
